Curve Driven Patterns Tips

Submitted by Albert Whatmough on June 3, 2010 – 2:51 pmNo Comment

In SolidWorks there are a number ways of creating patterns. You can use sketch based patterns or Feature based patterns. Each type of pattern has its advantage. In this video (Taken Dirrectly from SolidWorks Fundamentals) we will look at curve Driven feature patterns. Additional, as we do through out the all of the videos, time will be taken to show how a curve driven pattern can be used to capture your design intent.

The interesting thing is that curver driven patterns work extremly well to equally space features even when they are in a straight line an a “linear pattern” seems more appropriate. Watch and find out why!
