Deleting In-Context Relationships in Sketches

When top-down designing, in-context relations to the assembly can be created, sometimes even inadvertantly. This is of course very useful, but if the assembly is not static it may be nessessary to delete such relations once they have served their purpose.

Breaking External Refs in a part usually leaves affected sketches still showing as defined (black) where they really should be showing under-defined (blue).

Sketches containining the in-context relations have an arrow next to them in the design tree. Editing them can take time to identify which relations are the in-context ones and it becomes trial and error to get the arrow to dissappear from the sketch.

Simple solution – Edit the sketch then select: tools, relations, display/delete. This shows a list of all relations in that sketch, simply delete the one with an arrow next to them. Finally repair the sketch to re-constrain it so it is completely black again. Rebuild it and see the arrow dissappear from the sketch in the design tree.
